Videos oF Beyoncé Showing Off Her Spanish Skills For a Good Cause On New Remix of J. Balvin & Willy William's 'Mi Gente'

by
Beyoncé is dipping her toe into the Latin music scene once again  and for a good cause.
The songstress, 36, released a new remix of J. Balvin & Willy William’s chart-topping single “Mi Gente” on Thursday.

The mother of three recorded her lyrics in Spanish. The song marks the first time in months she has debuted new material.

“I am donating my proceeds from this song to hurricane relief charities for Puerto Rico, Mexico and the other affected Caribbean islands. To help go to Beyonce.com/reliefefforts,” Beyoncé announced on social media.

“We’re heartbroken by the hurricanes and earthquakes that have devastated families around the world. There are many ways to help. We’ve listed a few organizations that are on the ground from Mexico to the Caribbean, lending a hand to those who need it most,” the 22-time Grammy winner wrote on her website.
Along with the premiere of the remix, Bey also shared a series of Instagram posts in which she wore a multi-colored striped dress from Solace London’s Pre-Fall 2017 collection, the same outfit she was spotted wearing in the Hamptons two weeks ago.

Beyoncé previously released a live recording of “Irreplaceable” in 2011 to raise funds for Oxfam, WaterAid and Greenpeace.

Speaking of “Irreplaceable,” the 2006 single was also recorded in Spanish, and reached No. 4 on Billboard charts with “Irremplazable” in February 2007.

Beyoncé’s other Latin collaborations include “Beautiful Liar” with Shakira and “Amor Gitano” with Alejandro Fernandez.

Governors Request Fresh bailout Fund From FG

by
State governors have asked the Federal Government to release a fresh bailout in the form of budget support.
Ebonyi State governor, David Umahi disclosed this to reporters at the end of the national economic council (NEC) meeting presided over by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo.

He said the request was to help the governors pay salary arrears.

He added that the fund was necessary “especially when the amount that accrues to the states from the federation account is less than N600 billion”.
“We came to the understanding that every month, if the total shareable revenue in the federation account is less than N600billion, the minister of finance will give each state budget support,” Umahi said.
“We concluded that in the last 12 months and that continued for the second year, states have done very well, some states have been able to pay their accumulated salary debts and then also increased their commitment to infrastructure and generation of revenue.
“However, from July, that was not paid and in the month of August, I think about seven states were paid because according to the minister, other states did not comply with the set down rules, the most outstanding of that was the non-remittance of VAT from the states.
“So those seven states have been paid but more states have complied but we requested that those states that have complied should be paid.”

Senate Approves Death Sentence For Kidnapping

by
The Senate has approved death sentence for abduction, wrongful restraints or wrongful confinement for ransom.
The upper chamber also approved 30 years jail term for anybody that colluded with an abductor.

This followed the passage of a bill on abduction, wrongful restraints or wrongful confinement for ransom.

The upper chamber, which did clause by clause consideration of the report by its committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters, adopted the clause which specified death sentence for kidnapping.

Senator Chukwuka Utazi (Enugu North) presented the report of the committee on behalf of the Chairman, Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters Senator David Umaru.

The Bill was sponsored by Senator Isa Hamma Misau (APC-Bauchi).

Presenting the report, Utazi said the Bill sought to prescribe stiff punishment for the offence.

He said the bill sought to combat and prevent any form of kidnapping in Nigeria by giving wider powers to the Inspector-General of Police to ensure adequate policing of the crime.

The report was unanimously accepted by the lawmakers after a voice vote.

Daddy Yankee Donates $1 Million to Puerto Rico as He's Reunited with His Family on the Island

by
The 40-year-old rapper, who was born in San Juan, returned to Puerto Rico Thursday, reuniting with his wife and children after being on tour, a rep for him tells PEOPLE.
The rep says it was his first time seeing the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria.

On top of donating $1 million, the rapper has already given $300,000 toward local organizations, and is currently in the process of flying supplies to the island.
“As a Puerto Rican who lives on the island, I felt the call, that the rebuilding of my country has to be for a long term,” he tells PEOPLE in a statement. “In this initial phase, I want to make sure that every person has a plate to eat.
In the long run, my commitment is work to ensure that the largest number of families on the island have a safe roof.”
The “Despacito” singer, who lives in Puerto Rico full time and whose real name is Ramon Ayala Rodriguez, said the $1 million will be divided among Feeding America, the American Red Cross, Habitat for Humanity and local organizations.
Speaking to PEOPLE recently, the musician said that what is occurring in Puerto Rico is “unbelievable.”
“There’s no power and no communication in Puerto Rico,” he said. “Right now everybody is trying to rebuild the country, waiting for help. Right now, we got at least one more week for water and food, but after that it’s going to be chaos. We don’t want that.”
“Honestly, I just got up and my heartbeat was like a crazy adrenaline rush. I said, “I got to do something. I got to do something because I live there, my family’s there.” I asked myself, “Okay, what can I do right now?
Gather supplies, get everybody involved and try to bring all the supplies to Puerto Rico.” That’s what I’m working on right now with the community, my fans and everybody in a position of power to donate for Puerto Rico,” he continued.
“Help is on the way. Everybody is involved right now it’s a long process,” he added. “It’s a big mobilization of supplies. We have the government mobilizing different emergency groups in Puerto Rico, everything that we the artists are gathering as well.
It takes a strategy and infrastructure to make that happen and we are organizing. But help is on the way.”
His donation is already on top of 10 trucks full of supplies donated by his fans at his concerts, according to the AP.

Floyd Mayweather Declares He Is Officially A Billionaire

by
Floyd Mayweather says he's officially a member of the billionaire's club -- despite the fact he never cashed his TWO biggest fight checks.
The boxing superstar was leaving Warwick nightclub in L.A, when he started talking about his bank account.
"I already made up a billion dollars," Floyd told TMZ ... "That was easy!" Before the McGregor fight, Forbes reported Mayweather had racked up slightly more than $700 MILLION in career boxing earnings.

And with a reported $300 to $400 mil payday for beating up Conor, it would definitely put Floyd over the top. Funny part is, Floyd says the McGregor fight check (and the Pacquiao check) haven't even been cashed yet.

"We got a lot of problems," Mayweather tells TMZ Sports ... "Money ain't one of our problems."

Gunmen Abduct Catholic Priest In Edo state

by
Gunmen have abducted a Catholic priest in the Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The priest, Rev. Fr. Lawrence Adorolo, was the parish priest of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Okpella.

Adorolo was kidnapped about 6p.m. on Wednesday. His abduction was the second time in less than one week in the state.

The abductors are reported to have swooped on the cleric at a bad spot on Okpella Road while on his way back from Igarra.

Adorolo was said to be with other priests, who attended the ‘Month Mind’ of the oldest priest of the Auchi Diocese, the late Fr. Lawrence Balogun, at St. John Apostolic Church, Igarra, the headquarters of Akoko Edo Local Government Area.

He was driving his Mercedes Benz 350 ML while in his white cassock as well as in company of a seminarian and a boy living with him before he was kidnapped.

The abductors had flagged his vehicle down and shot sporadically into the air. They dragged the priest into the bush. The gunmen also took the mobile phones of all the occupants of the vehicle. However, Adorolo’s Mercedes car has been recovered and taken to the police station at Okpella where the matter was reported.

When contacted yesterday, the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Moses Nkombe, confirmed the incident but said that the command had taken steps to rescue the priest. He said:

“Immediately it happened, the OC Anti-Kidnapping was contacted and they (policemen attached to the unit) swung into action.

Hopefully, let’s see what happens today.”
Also, the Catholic Bishop of Auchi Diocese, Most Rev Gabriel Dunia, yesterday confirmed Adorolo’s kidnap. Dunia disclosed this during a press conference held in Auchi. He said:
“Rev Adorolo was on his way back from Auchi to his parish at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Okpella, when he was abducted by gunmen at a bad spot near Okpella about 6p.m. on Wednesday.”
The bishop condemned the incident; pointing out that the abductors committed an abominable act by keeping a priest, who offers selfless service to God and humanity, for ransom. He said:

“The abductors have made contact with the church for ransom. The church does not pay ransom as it is not a profit making organisation.
We call on security agencies to ensure the release of the priest.
The diocese is calling for an unconditional release of the priest. We are holding a mass for the unconditional release of the priest.”

Meanwhile, gunmen terrorising Birnin-Gwari-Funtua Road, Kaduna State, have abducted an Assistant Commissioner of Police identified as Emmanuel Adeniyi, and three of his family members.

Adeniyi is the Officer-in-Charge of the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Zamfara State Police Command.

PUNCH Metro reports that Adeniyi and his family were travelling back to Zamfara from Kaduna on Wednesday when the gun-trotting men flagged down their Toyota Hilux.

The gang reportedly dragged them from the vehicle and whisked them away in another vehicle.

The identities of the family members had yet to be ascertained.

On Thursday, the kidnappers reportedly communicated with their relatives, demanding N30m ransom for their release.

Apart from the ACP and his family, it was learnt that a police officer and three others on a bus were abducted the same day on the road.

It was gathered that several police units, including the Inspector-General of Police Intelligence Response Unit and Anti-Kidnapping unit, had been deployed to rescue the victims.

A source told PUNCH Metro that the Toyota Hilux had been recovered by the police, adding that the kidnappers were criminals dislodged from Niger State.

“The ACP was returning to his duty post in Gusau, Zamfara State, on Wednesday with his family members when the gunmen struck along the Birnin-Gwari-Funtua Road and whisked them away.

He is the OC, SCIID of the state police command. Only the vehicle has been recovered.
“Another police officer was abducted with three others while travelling in a bus to Birnin Gwari on Wednesday. A police patrol team got information that some travellers on the bus had been abducted, they chased the kidnappers, but I do not know whether the victims have been rescued or not.
“A popular businessman from Birnin Gwari, known as Danhaza, and his driver were also abducted three days ago while travelling on the same road to Kaduna,” the source said.

French Montana Slams Akon, Says He Presented A Fake Wristwatch For His Birthday (Video)

by
Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana, has slammed Akon, who he accused of giving him a fake wristwatch as birthday gift few years ago.
In his interview with DJ Funk Flex, French Montana who talked about signing with Akon’s label for six months 10 years ago, had this to say when DJ Flex brought up the wristwatch story.
“We can’t tell the watch story, don’t tell it now,” which forced French to weigh into it.
“Oh, Stop!” French said, as he laughed so hard.

“Shouts to Akon, he gave me a fake watch for my birthday, I’m heated,” he said, laughing again. He continued: “I’m still waiting for my other watch Akon,” French said.
“Akon I need you to fix this up,” Flex added. “Keep it a buck.

Listen, we gonna go on the ‘gram, we gon’ tell fake watch busters to leave you alone, they not gonna post this up. But, we gotta clear this up.”
As French laughed, he continued with the story, “It was my birthday too,” he said. “He was like, ‘Close your eyes, I got a present for you,’” French recalled. “Then he put a fake watch on my wrist, I’m heated.”
When Flex asked if French knew the watch was fake at the time, the rapper said: “Nah, I didn’t know it was fake,” he said.

He said he told the jeweler that Akon got it for him as a gift for his birthday. [BREAKING] Melaye’s Recall: Battle Shifts To A’Court As INEC Withdraws Motion For Substituted Service

by
The Independent National Electoral Commission on Thursday withdrew its motion seeking an order of the Federal High Court in Abuja allowing it to serve the recall petition on Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, through substituted means rather than personal service.
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba struck out the motion after INEC’s lawyer, Mr. Yunus Ustaz (SAN), announced its withdrawal in court on Thursday.

The judge also directed that all issues pertaining to the case should thereafter be taken to the Court of Appeal.

He noted that since Melaye’s appeal against the court’s September 11 judgment of the court had been entered at the Court of Appeal, all pending applications, including the ones filed by Melaye for stay of execution of the verdict, should be taken to the Court of Appeal.

INEC had on September 15, filed the ex parte motion seeking substituted service of the recall petition on Melaye, following alleged refusal of senator to accept service of the petition and other accompanying documents as earlier ordered by the court on September 11.

Ustaz also maintained on Thursday that Melaye had been “dodging” service, as an attempt by the INEC to serve Melaye during the Senate’s plenary on Tuesday also failed.

The INEC’s lawyer had earlier, on Thursday, urged Justice Dimgba to hear the ex parte motion, but Melaye’s counsel, Mr. Nkem Okoro, had opposed the hearing on the grounds that the court no longer had jurisdiction to hear any application concerning the case since his client’s appeal against the September 11 judgment of the court had been “entered” at the Court of Appeal.

But the INEC’s lawyer later, in the course of the proceedings, withdrew the motion after the judge raised some questions about the propriety of the ex parte motion filed after the court had finally disposed of the case by delivering judgment on September 11.

Justice Dimgba had noted that Order 6 of the Federal High Court Rules under which INEC filed the ex parte motion presupposed that there was a pending case.

The judge explained that the judgment having been delivered in the case filing an ex parte motion was not the appropriate means for enforcement of the judgment.

Ustaz agreed with the judge and withdrew the motion.

It was then struck out by the judge.

Justice Dimgba had in his judgment delivered on September 11 dismissed Melaye’s suit challenging the validity of the recall process, but made it a pre-condition for the exercise to commence that the electoral body must serve the senator with the recall petition and accompanying documents, including the signatures of the constituents calling for his (Melaye’s) recall.

Russia Court Issues Arrest Warrant For Doping Whistleblower

by
A Moscow court said Thursday it had issued an arrest warrant for Russian whistleblower Grigory Rodchenkov, who helped orchestrate the country’s state-sponsored Olympic doping programme and has since fled to the United States.
“The investigators put Rodchenkov on an international wanted list. Our court on September 21 issued a ruling to arrest him in absentia since he is wanted internationally,” the court’s spokeswoman Yunona Tsareva told AFP.

Rodchenkov is the former director of Moscow’s anti-doping lab that oversaw drug testing at the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

In May 2016 he gave an interview to the New York Times describing an elaborate doping scheme that he said involved dozens of Russian athletes at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Russia’s Black Sea city of Sochi.

A bombshell report by a World Anti-Doping Agency independent commission published in November 2016 said Rodchenkov had admitted to “intentionally destroying” 1,417 test samples ahead of an audit.

As a result, Russian track and field athletes were barred from the Rio Olympics last year and from the athletics World Championships in London last month.

Russia has consistently denied running a state-run doping programme, with deputy prime minister Vitaly Mutko pinning all the blame on Rodchenkov’s laboratory and Russia’s Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA).

The Investigative Committee, which probes serious crimes, opened a criminal investigation into Rodchenkov in 2016, accusing him of abuse of office, for which he could serve up to four years in jail.

In a New York Times op-ed piece published Friday, Rodchenkov said he fled his homeland because he feared for his life and his family’s safety.

Russia and the US do not have an extradition treaty.

by
The former couple launched Somos Una Voz (We Are One Voice), a new initiative promoting awareness and humanitarian aid, on Tuesday, in response to recent natural disasters that have devastated many areas, including Puerto Rico, Mexico, Florida, Texas and more.
Lopez's boyfriend Alex Rodriguez, Bruno Mars, Pitbull, Jada Pinkett Smith, Ed Sheeran and Lin-Manuel Miranda are just a few of the celebrities who have signed on for the star-studded initiative, which aims to raise money for American Red Cross,

Reach Out Worldwide, United Way, United for Puerto Rico, as well as more charities to come.

Since Hurricane Maria struck Puerto Rico and the Caribbean islands, J.Lo and Anthony have been vocal about mobilizing efforts for relief.

"My cousin and I and our family still haven’t been able to hear from all of our family over there and we are concerned for them and everyone on the island," Lopez said in a press conference, before announcing she would donate $1 million to disaster relief.
"Alex Rodriguez and I, who are both New Yorkers, are utilizing all of our resources and relationships in entertainment, sports and business to garner support for Puerto Rican and Caribbean relief efforts."

Kim Kardashian Goes In On 'Liar' And 'Not A Good Person' Caitlyn Jenner

by
The Kardashians are seriously working overtime.

If the prospect of multiple KarJenner pregnancies wasn’t enough to make you tune into the family’s carnival show, aka “Keeping up with the Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian dragging Caitlyn Jenner within an inch of her life might just do it.
Remember, relations between the two have been frostier than an ice cold Pepsi (no, Kendall, that won’t make this better) ever since the release of Jenner’s controversial memoir, which ex-wife Kris alleged was “all made up.”

In a sneak peek during this Sunday’s Season 14 premiere, the book is still causing all the drama, but this time it’s revolving around how Jenner described Robert Kardashian’s motives for defending one-time client O.J. Simpson.

A post shared by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on

“It says in Caitlyn’s book Robert Kardashian knew O.J. Simpson was guilty, but joined the defense team to get back at his re-married ex,” Kim reads in the clip. “Robert told Caitlyn in secret after the O.J. murder trial that he believed his friend was guilty.”

“That’s not true!” Khloe interjects “Like, what?”

“Like, to sell a book, you’re gonna make something up?” Kourtney adds.

“Dad so believed in him,” Kim continues. “It is so shady that Caitlyn came over and gave me the book, and then on the phone she said, ‘Well, the final version has a few more things in it, but don’t worry, it’s nothing about you.’ So she lied to me, because that is about me, if it’s about our dad.”

“I have always had Caitlyn’s back,” she adds. “But she is a liar. She is not a good person.”

Later, in a confessional with Khloe, Kim reveals that she’s tried to be respectful of Jenner, given her ties to Kendall and Kylie, but she draws the line at mentions of her late father.

“My relationship with Caitlyn was strained,” Kim says. “I was just trying to be respectful. But if you talk about my dad, I will cut you.”

However, there is some semblance of hope, considering the episode was likely filmed before Kardashian’s appearance on “The View,” during which she praised Jenner’s parenting skills.

“She’ll always be my stepdad and and always be a person that raised me and taught me so much in life,” Kim said. ”[She] really stepped up to the plate and took over for my dad when he passed away, and I’ll never forget what Caitlyn instilled in us as kids and was a part of who I am today, so I’ll never forget that. To say I don’t have a relationship, she’ll always be a part of me. Have I talked to her in the last couple months? No.”

“We’re not that kind of family so I think we’re just taking a breather. We’ll get it together. We have siblings,” she added. “It will work out.”

Couple Allegedly Sold Human Meat Pies To Local Cafe

by
An alleged cannibal couple made human meat pies and sold them to restaurants, a shocking trial in Russia has revealed.
The police are investigating the confession of Natalia Baksheeva and husband Dmitry Baksheev that they killed and ate 30 or more victims.

The couple lived in the grounds of a military academy run by the Russian Defence Ministry. She is believed to have sold human meat to military trainees, including student pilots, attending the academy where she worked.

According to reports, human remains were found in their fridge, freezer and elsewhere in their home at a hostel in a military academy in Krasnodar, southern Russia.

Neighbours say Natalia, a former nurse, made and sold pies to boost her income.

The police are investigating the confession of Natalia Baksheeva and husband Dmitry Baksheev, that they killed and ate 30 or more victims.

Natalia at a point applied to work as a chef and offered to supply meat to a cafe in the city in 2010, according to Moskovsky Komsomolets.

The Cafe owner, Vitaly Yakubenko, said, ” She was very active, asked lots of questions but mainly about where we buy our meat and fish and how fresh it is. She made clear she could supply meat.
“I said that we work only with certified suppliers.”

“The police should look now where this woman may have worked as a chef and if she tried to push her products there too.

“For sure these cannibals were looking for places to sell their meat.

“It sounded to me like her main motive when she was looking for a job. Natalia told me she had experience working as a chef.”

Mantu Say I’m Now Born Again, Whatever I Say Is The Truth

by
A former Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ibrahim Mantu, has pronounced himself as a born-again politician.
Mantu said whatever he now says is the truth and urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party to believe him.

Mantu spoke at the ongoing declaration by Prof. Tunde Adeniran to lead the party as its national chairman slated for December 9 in Abuja.

The former deputy Senate president said he had fasted for 30 days during which he said God told him the party must pick Adeniran.

He said, “I’m now born again, whatever I say now is the truth. Some people came to the PDP with nothing and left with billions. We need to bring the party to the people now. We need to be sober and apologise for what we have done wrong in the past.

“After fasting and prayer, I fasted for 30 days and night asking God to show me who would lead the party. God showed me Adeniran.

“Let’s now look forward and make sure that we elect a credible chairman. We should make sure that nobody short-changes us at the national convention. ”

Russia To Destroy Last Chemical Weapons Today, Putin Says, Urges America To Do Same

by
President Vladimir Putin has said that Russia planned later on Wednesday to destroy its last chemical weapons and accused the United States of not following suit.

“Today, the last chemical ammunition from Russian chemical weapons stockpiles will be destroyed,” Putin said, quoted by Russian news agencies.

“The United States, unfortunately is not carrying out its obligations when it comes to the time frame of destroying chemical weapons,” he added.

Michelle Obama Rocked A Bright Rock At Tech Talk

by
The former first lady wore a bright orange Roland Mouret dress with black-and-metallic Jimmy Choo pumps to speak at the Microsoft Envision conference in Orlando, Fla. on Tuesday.
Michelle’s longtime stylist Meredith Koop posted a few Instagram snaps of the look.

According to the Associated Press, Michelle sat down with Microsoft president Brad Smith to share her experience in the White House, as well as her future plans with Barack Obama, such as the creation of a presidential library in Chicago. Michelle also discussed diversity in the tech world, remarking that people often hire employees who resemble themselves because it’s “comfortable.”

And last week, she attended a tech conference in Salt Lake City, where the former FLOTUS shared her candid thoughts on the Trump administration. “You can’t just want to help someone in a hurricane, and not make sure they can go to the doctor when they’re sick,” she said, referring to healthcare in the United States.

Lately, we’ve been seeing Michelle in casual mode. On Monday, she was spotted taking a workout class at Tracy Anderson’s Manhattan studio, where sources told Page Six that she rocked out to Beyonce’s “Drunk In Love” while the Secret Service waited outside.

In early September, Michelle also participated in a tribute video to Beyonce on the singer’s 36th birthday, by channeling Bey’s persona in the “Formation” video.

And the Obamas spent the summer on vacation, first in Bali with 18-year-old Malia and 16-year-old Sasha, then with each other on a yacht in Spain.

However, anyone hoping that Michelle would assume a more official public role can lower their expectations. At the conference in Salt Lake City, when an audience member yelled out that she should run for president in 2020, Michelle replied, “That’s still shocking. Like, what? Are you kidding me? No.”

Jose Mourinho On Man United’s Midfield Injury Crisis

by
Jose Mourinho has been speaking in Moscow ahead of Manchester United’s UEFA Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.

The Man United boss has had a positive start to the new season with seven wins from nine games in all competitions as his side are second in the Premier League table only on goal difference.

That said, injuries are mounting up for the Red Devils, particularly in central midfield as Marouane Fellaini, Paul Pogba and Michael Carrick are all missing for United’s trip to CSKA.

“We don’t have Fellaini. We don’t have Pogba. We don’t have Carrick. All three midfield players that we lose for this match. The solutions are not many,” Mourinho said. “We are trying not to focus on individual battles in specific areas on the pitch. We are going to have a team with quality and balance to try to win the match. That’s our objective.”

What are Mourinho’s solutions to plug these gaps?

Ander Herrera will likely start in central midfield alongside Nemanja Matic which should be enough but given the extent of the injuries to both Pogba and Fellaini they will also have to play against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Fellaini was injured by Southampton’s Shane Long on Saturday and Mourinho confirmed the Belgian midfielder would not play again before the international break.

“Fellaini was lucky. It could be a much worse situation but in a moment where we don’t have Pogba and Carrick he becomes even more important than he always is. I expect Fellaini not to be out for a long time,” Mourinho added.

As for Mourinho, he was asked about the decision by the English Football Association to take no further action after he was sent to the stands late on in United’s 1-0 victory at Southampton on Saturday.

“If I am not punished it is because there are no reasons for the sending off,” Mourinho said. “I am happy that it is recognized and I can do my work normally against Crystal Palace. That’s enough for me.”

Chopper Ride Over Puerto Rico Shows 'Unprecedented Disaster' After Maria

by
The situation is dire for the over 3 million Americans living on the U.S. territory of Puerto Rico, which was battered by Hurricane Maria last week.

ABC News flew in a chopper today along the path that Maria took over Puerto Rico, showing the widespread devastation left behind, from the demolished homes to the downed power lines.

Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rossello says the island is facing an "unprecedented disaster" in the wake of Maria, which tore through on Sept. 20, killing at least 16 and knocking out electricity to the entire island. The storm also devastated other islands in the Caribbean, including Dominica, where at least 27 have died.

"The devastation is vast," Rossello said. Maria built on the destruction caused by Hurricane Irma, which blew through just weeks earlier.

The view from the sky today of Maria's aftermath showed gas lines, often stretching for miles, especially in more remote areas where people are desperate for fuel. Rossello on Sunday called for calm and said 185 gas stations are open throughout the island.

Maria demolished homes made of wood, while those built out of concrete for the most part survived.

Now five days since the storm hit, the chopper ride showed that most of the widespread flooding is gone, but some neighborhoods are still underwater. The governor said today that more than 5,500 people have been rescued.

The storm also flattened farms. Puerto Rico's Department of Agriculture has said that 80 percent of crops could be lost.

The New York Times reported that one farmer predicts, “There will be no food in Puerto Rico."

“There is no more agriculture in Puerto Rico," the farmer told the Times. "And there won’t be any for a year or longer.”

The collapse of the Guajataca Dam is still imminent and engineers are reviewing the dam to get a better sense of its conditions.

Maria left the entire island in the dark. Ahead of Irma, residents told ABC News how fragile the infrastructure is and how easily power can go out.

After Maria, the island has been reliant on generators, especially in San Juan.

The island's mountainous terrain is difficult to navigate, which makes getting in to simply restore down power lines more complicated.

Power restoration efforts are now underway.

As of today 27 percent of the San Juan area -- the capital -- has cellphone service, and 65 percent of fixed lines can make long distance calls, the Puerto Rico Governor's Office said.

Officials said 40 percent of water customers now have water.

Rossello said today that 15 food supply routes using trucks have started and helicopters will be used to bring food to people in the mountains. Rossello also said cruise ships will be arriving with supplies.

In a statement today Rossello said, "We will need the full support of the U.S. government."

"This is a humanitarian disaster involving 3.4 million U.S. citizens," Rossello said. "People cannot forget we are U.S. citizens -- and proud of it. So much so that in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, which also hit Puerto Rico, we conducted emergency rescue operations to save thousands of U.S. citizens in the Caribbean islands that were devastated by that storm."

"Given Puerto Rico's fragile economic recovery prior to the storms, we ask the Trump Administration and U.S. Congress to take swift action to help Puerto Rico rebuild," Rossello said.

Assistant to the president on Homeland Security Tom Bossert, who is in Puerto Rico, today called this a "very long and hard recovery" but vowed to Puerto Rico residents, "You will get what you need to recover."

FEMA administrator Brock Long, who is also in Puerto Rico, echoed Bossert's sentiments, saying the power of the federal government is being used to help Puerto Rico.

Long said search and rescue operations are still ongoing and more than 10,000 people are there to help clean up. He added that FEMA officials are working on evacuating people from outlying hospitals to the Centro Medico in San Juan.

A total of 530 people in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands have been "saved or assisted" by FEMA, Coast Guard, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and other search and rescue teams, FEMA announced today.

More than 2,000 soldiers and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers civilians have responded to Maria relief operations in Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to the Army.

Young Dolph Shot Multiple Times In Hollywood

by
Young Dolph has been shot in Hollywood and is being at a local hospital where he was rushed to.

Law enforcement sources say the rapper was just outside Shoe Palace at the famous Hollywood and Highland intersection when he was hit! Officers were nearby and they responded immediately.

At this time, no arrests have been made and it's unclear how many people may have opened fire.

We're told he suffered multiple gunshot wounds but his injuries appear to be non-life threatening at this time.

It's not the first time this year the rapper's come under gunfire ... back in February his SUV was shot at over 100 times while he was in Charlotte, N.C. His family had better pray for him. Someone is after him!!!

The Rolls Royce Of Bishops - Pastor Adeboye Message To Pastor Oyedepo As He Turns 63

by
Bishop Oyedepo of Winners' Chapel turned 63 today and pastor E.A Adeboye of the Redeem Christian of God ,posted a glorifying tribute to him in which he referred to the former as the Rolls Royce of bishops.

The Rolls Royce of Bishops

Some years ago, someone gave me an article on cars to read.
It listed the Mercedes Benz as the STRONGEST car.
It listed BMW as the FASTEST car
It listed LEXUS as the most comfortable car.

I turned to the man that gave me the article to read and asked in my confusion "so where do we place Rolls Royce"?
The man smiled and said "sir, you can't place Rolls Royce in this category; when we are rating cars, Rolls Royce is in a class of it's own".

There are bishops and there are bishops.

......and When you are rating bishops, Bishop Oyedepo stands in a class of his own.

Bishop Oyedepo is the Rolls Royce of bishops.

And I am proud to be his father.
It is only in christianity that you see a bishop who is a son to a pastor.

Kanu Not Being Held By Nigerian Govt, May Be Hiding – Lai Mohammed

by
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has said that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is not being held by the Nigerian Federal government.

According to him,

“He’s not being held by government at all.” He said Kanu had “crossed a line” with his agitation for Biafra and that he (Mohammed) suspects the IPOB leader could be “in hiding.”

On the President, he said,
“I think there’s so much speculation as to what he’s been treated for. “I think we would rather respect his privacy. If Mr President feels like telling the world his ailment, so be it. I don’t think he’s under an obligation to tell anyone.”

One Dead As Nigerians Clash Over Biafra In India

by
An attack and counter attack in the wee hours of Sunday over Biafra, between a dozen Nigerian students created a ruckus in Hennur, as they allegedly attacked the residence of one Elvis Ohachosim, a 39-year-old fellow Nigerian, and set his car ablaze.
Times of India reports that DCP North East, Girish, said the counter attack was in retaliation to Elvis attacking two Nigerian friends on Saturday evening; an attack that has left Bengaluru Police now mulling over getting these Nigerians who came to India on business and student visas deported.

Girish further said this was not the first time the Nigerians fought over Biafra issue, as Bengaluru police had filed four cases against two Nigerian groups since September 3. According to Elvis’ complaint, 12 people arrived at his house in Vaddarapalya at around 3am on Sunday.

“This has been going on since the beginning of September. On September 3, Nigerian citizen N Chigozie, a resident of Hennur, died. Investigations suggest that he may have died after clashes between the gangs at an African restaurant in Kothanur.

The man knew he was in trouble so he did not open the door. His car was parked in front of his house and they set it ablaze instead. He has also said that the gang threatened to kill him,” the DCP added.

An FIR was filed at the Hennur Police Station later on Sunday against the 12 Nigerians. Elvis’ car was not completely gutted as a few of his neighbours helped him put out the fire after the gang left. However, Chigozie was found dead near Geddalahalli railway track on September 3.

The Kothanur police had thought it was a road accident, but after preliminary investigation, a case of murder was registered. The police are now awaiting the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) report.

Chigozie’s brother Nonso Odedike, has filed a complaint accusing a group of Nigerians led by a man named Aiwa, of attacking him and Chigozie at a restaurant named African Kitchen in Kothanur, on September 2.

“Chigozie’s brother has said that they were having dinner at African Kitchen on the night of September 2. They were discussing the Biafra issue when they were attacked. Six people were arrested in the case and are now out on bail,” a senior police official said.

The Indian Police Official said that two groups – one supporting Nonso who claimed that when the attack occurred, they fled the spot as his brother was killed while trying to escape, and the other supporting the six accused in Chigozie’s murder, have been clashing repeatedly after September 3.

Elvis is believed to be a Nonso supporter, who allegedly attacked Christoper Okwi Onuigbo and his friend Ani Charles. The duo were part of the six-member gang arrested for Chigozie’s murder. The Kothanur Police filed a complaint against six people including Elvis for the attack on Saturday night.

“There are two gangs of Nigerians who are clashing over political reasons. We will submit a report about them to the Foreign Regional Registration Office,” DCP Girish said.

Zodwa was recently blasted by President Robert Mugabe after she requested to see the aged president during her visit to Zimbabwe.

‘Biafran Govt Will Banish Rev. Father Mbaka’

by
A lawyer and the leader of the Biafra Zionist Federation, Benjamin Onwuka, has said the “Biafran government” would, when fully functional, banish the founder of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, from “Biafraland.”
Onwuka recently announced the formation of a Biafra government, which included an economist, Prof. Pat Utomi; a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Charles Soludo; and former information ministers, Prof. Jerry Gana, and Mr. Labaran Maku.

There are reports that the Department of State Services was investigating those named in the “cabinet” but Onwuka has insisted that the government was “intact” and awaiting recognition by the United States America.

Speaking in Enugu on Tuesday, Onwuka said Mbaka and some other clerics were sabotaging the agitation for Biafra.

He said his “Biafran government” would send such clergymen away from Biafra.

Onwuka also threatened to confiscate the Adoration Ground, the worship centre of Mbaka’s Adoration Ministry.

According to him, Biafra agitators have marked Mbaka as an ‘enemy of Biafra.’

He warned Mbaka specifically, saying, “The Zionists are warning Ejike Mbaka that he is putting his Adoration Ministry on the line.
“All the clerics supporting these killings would be sent away from here by the ‘Biafra government’ and we will take over that his Adoration Ground.

“Attacking us and calling us names is unacceptable. People are being killed every day, has any of them come out to speak against it? We have marked Mbaka as enemy of Biafra.”
He said the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra would not have any effect on the restoration of Biafra.

EFCC Chair: Court Flooded With 17 Suits Over Magu

by
No fewer than 17 suits on the propriety or otherwise of Mr. Ibrahim Magu remaining as the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have been filed before various divisions of the Federal High Court, The PUNCH learnt on Tuesday.
Lawyers, who appeared before Justice Gabriel Kolawole of the Federal High Court in Abuja when one of the cases came up on Tuesday, said a related case was filed in the Yola Division of the court in Adamawa State, while another case on the same subject is before the Kano Division of the FHC.

Thr Majority of the cases were said to be pending before various judges of the Abuja Division of the court.

It was learnt that some of the 17 cases were in support of Magu, while the rest sought Magu’s removal from office on the grounds that he had been rejected by the Senate.

Meanwhile, when one of the pro-Magu suits came up before Justice Kolawole on Tuesday, two lawyers, representing two different law firms, presented separate letters of engagement to them to represent the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, and the Senate.

While Mr. S. O. Alhassan presented a letter, which engaged his law firm in June, Mr. Peter Abang presented a letter briefing his law firm in August.

The judge directed the two lawyers to sort out the conflicting briefs they got from the Senate before the next hearing date for the particular suit.

The particular suit was instituted by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Mr. Jibrin Okutepa, who was represented on Tuesday by Mr. Ocholi Okutepa.

President Muhammadu Buhari, the AGF, the National Assembly, the Senate and Saraki are the respondents to the suit.

But before the case was adjourned on Tuesday, Mr. Musa Abdul, who represented the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), sued as the second defendant, told the judge that the AGF had written to the former Chief Judge of the court, Justice Ibrahim Auta, seeking the consolidation of the cases.

He explained that the AGF’s office was aware of 10 cases in respect of Magu’s chairmanship of the EFCC and was therefore necessary to have the cases heard by one judge in order to avoid a situation where judges of the FHC would give conflicting decisions on the same subject matter.

Abdul stated that the former Chief Judge had also replied the AGF’s letter.

But one of the two lawyers, seeking to represent the Senate and Saraki in the case, Abang, said he was aware of 17 cases.

“There are, in fact, 17 cases on this subject matter. In fact, I will be appearing before Justice A. R. Mohammed in another case concerning the subject matter immediately I leave this court.

“We also have a similar suit in the Kano Division of the court,” he added.

He said his law firm had also formally requested the Chief Judge to consolidate the cases.

The other counsel, Alhassan, also intimated the judge about the case pending before the Yola Division.

After listening to the parties, Justice Kolawole directed them to bring to the attention of the Acting Chief Judge of the FHC, Justice Abdu Kafarati, efforts that had been made to get the cases heard by one judge.

He agreed that there was the need for the cases, including those filed in Kano and Yola, to be consolidated to avert “conflicting decisions” by the Federal High Court on the same subject matter.

He adjourned for about four weeks to await the directive of the Acting Chief Judge.

Justice Kolawole also noted that Alhassan and Abang, who were both seeking to represent the Senate and Saraki, “cannot be heard as currently constituted.”

The judge urged the two lawyers to “put heads together” and sort out their representation for the Senate and Saraki before the next hearing date.

The judge adjourned until November 1.

A lawyer, Mr. Oluwatosin Ojaomo, had earlier filed a suit seeking a declaratory order deeming that the Senate had confirmed Magu as the substantive Chairman of the EFCC.

In his originating summons, with suit number FHC/ABJ/CS/59/17, the plaintiff asked Justice John Tsoho to hold that the Senate lacked the statutory powers to reject the appointment of Magu having been validly nominated by President Muhammadu Buhari in consonance with the EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004.

The suit joined Saraki and the AGF.

In the 17-paragraph affidavit of urgency deposed to by the plaintiff, he wanted the court to hold that Magu’s appointment by Buhari was based on his sterling performance at the EFCC.

He added that Magu had courageously fought corruption in Nigeria according to his mandates and had successfully “recovered humongous sums of money” from the looters of the Nigerian treasury.

The plaintiff noted that Saraki and his wife were part of the persons currently being investigated by Magu.

He stated that the development implied that Magu would never get fair hearing before a Senate presided over by Saraki.

Also, two groups, Save Nigeria Group and Kingdom Human Rights Foundation International, on July 7, withdrew their suit filed in December 2016, seeking orders compelling Buhari to declare the chairmanship position of the EFCC vacant.

The plaintiffs had, also in the same suit, urged the court to compel Buhari to sack the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Babachir Lawal.

But upon an oral application by the plaintiffs’ lawyer, Mr. Kindgdom Okere, on Friday, seeking the withdrawal of the suit, Justice Tsoho struck out the case.

Speaking with our correspondent after the July 7 proceedings, Okere had told our correspondent that the boards of the plaintiffs had reviewed the activities of Magu as acting Chairman of the EFCC and had decided to support him.

Khloé Kardashian is pregnant, expecting first child with Tristan Thompson

by
Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson are expecting their first child together, sources confirm to Yahoo. The news comes less than a week after it was first reported that Kardashian’s sister Kylie Jenner is pregnant as well.
TMZ reports that Kardashian is about three months along. The outlet alleges that she conceived naturally and doesn’t yet know the sex of the baby. Kardashian, 33, and Thompson, 26, have been dating for a year.

While neither Khloé nor Tristan has commented on the reports, the Cleveland Cavaliers star sent out a cryptic tweet after news broke:

He then tweeted as if it’s business as usual:

As for Khloé, she has also been acting as if it is business as usual, posting ab shots to Instagram.

Perhaps Khloé pulled a Kylie and has been using older photos to throw people off.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians star is likely thrilled with the pregnancy news, as she has expressed a desire to start a family with Thompson.

“I would love to have a family. We’ve talked about it,” she told ES Magazine in April. “He [already] is a father, and I know for a fact that he would be an impeccable father.”

Thompson became a father in December as his ex-girlfriend, Jordan Craig, welcomed a baby boy, Prince Thompson.

“I definitely want to be a mom. But I don’t put the pressure on it,” she added. “It’s not like, ‘The clock is ticking.’ I feel in my soul it will happen.”

Kardashian said she’s “never been in this type of love” before, and when asked point-blank whether she would accept if he proposed, she replied, “Yes I would.”

In August  when Khloé would have been around two months pregnant  she certainly played coy when discussing wanting a family with the Daily Mail.

“I definitely want a family, but I don’t feel any pressure. Tristan is a great dad… and he definitely wants more children, but we both feel that it will happen when the time is right,” she said. “We’re still in a new relationship and I love us having time together.

Once you have kids you can’t get back your non-kid years. My sisters and I bother my mom all the time, so I know it’s not, like, ‘When they’re 18, you don’t worry about them again.’ You worry about your children for the rest of your life.

The concern I have is raising little human beings in a world that’s filled with such hate and terror. That seems very scary.”

This will be the first child for Khloé.

The Good American co-creator was married to Lamar Odom before filing for divorce in 2013 due to his substance abuse and infidelity.

Before finding love with Thompson, Khloé dated rapper French Montana and NBA star James Harden.

The Kardashian-Jenner brood is certainly expanding at a rapid rate.

Sources tell Yahoo that Kylie Jenner, 20, is expecting her first child  a baby girl  with boyfriend Travis Scott and is due in winter 2018. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are also reportedly welcoming baby No. 3, via surrogate, around the same time.

When Trump Found Out Marla Was Pregnant With Tiffany, He Said, ‘Oh, Great’

by
Ah, Tiffany Trump. Law student. Heiress. Short-lived musician. Butt of jokes galore about her dad’s overt preference for Ivanka and the others.

Yeah, it’s worse than that.

When Donald Trump learned that then-girlfriend Marla Maples was pregnant with Tiffany, Trump said, “Excuse me, what happened?” and “Oh, great”—the latest bombshell revelation contained in 15 hours of tapes from The Howard Stern Show released this week to Newsweek and Factba.se.

“I’m glad it happened. I have a great little daughter, Tiffany,” Trump told his pal Stern in the 2004 interview. “But, you know, at the time it was like, ‘Excuse me, what happened?’ And then I said, ‘Well, what are we going to do about this?’ [Marla] said, ‘Are you serious? It’s the most beautiful day of our lives.’ I said, ‘Oh, great.’”

It’s hard to ignore Ivanka Trump’s place as the family favorite the future president called her “a beautiful girl” and “a great girl” dozens of times in the new tapes, which also seem to show a particular obliviousness toward Tiffany. Newsweek reported on Monday that the tapes also revealed Ivanka and Donald Jr. tried to “bump” the younger Trump out of her inheritance, and that Trump was proud of her “to a lesser extent” than his other kids.

In this interview, in January of 2004, Trump compared his third wife, Melania, with Maples, and the latter’s unplanned pregnancy came up, along with the ultraromantic proposal that ensued.

Howard Stern: How do you know Melania’s faithful?

Donald Trump: I know she’s faithful.

Howard Stern: What do you do? You pull out?

Donald Trump: No.... She’s on the pill.

Robin Quivers: You know you fell for that one time before.

Donald Trump: I did. That happened. She said, “I think I’m so happy! We’re about to have a child.” I said, “Excuse me?” I didn't know about this.

Howard Stern: You trust Melania to take a pill every day or you check if she does?

Donald Trump: I don’t know...like, she’s been amaz[ing]—she’s... Hey, I’m five years, and she’s been great.

Howard Stern: Just taking a pill every day.

Donald Trump: I trust her in every way.

Howard Stern: I bet you still pull out just to make sure.

Donald Trump: No. I don’t. She’s—she’s just amazing. She wanted that she would know.

Howard Stern: Would you push her down the stairs if it happened.

Donald Trump: Honestly, I'm glad it happened. I have a great little daughter, Tiffany. But, you know at the time it was like, “Excuse me, what happened?” And then I said, “Well, what are we going to do about this?” She [Maples] said, “Are you serious? It’s the most beautiful day of our lives.” I said, “Oh, great.”

Howard Stern: What do you mean “we”?

Donald Trump: I said, “Do you want to get married?”

The exchange is one of many unvarnished conversations Trump had with Stern between 1993 and 2016. In prior coverage of the trove,

Newsweek revealed that Trump is a germaphobe who always drinks from a straw, that his divorce with Ivana and bankruptcy were the worst days of his life, that he gropes Melania in public, and that he thought his ex-wife Ivana was “out of control” for appearing on First Wives Club and breaking their prenup.

PDP Tells Fayose:Don’t Waste Time On Presidency 2019

by
The Peoples Democratic Party has told Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State not to waste his resources on his presidential ambition, saying the party’s candidate for the 2019 election will come from the North.

The party said all its members were aware of the zoning formula it adopted for both its presidential ticket and the position of the national chairman.

Fayose had sent letters to some leaders of the party to inform them about his decision to run for the Presidency on the platform of the PDP.

The event, according to a copy of the letter sent to our correspondent, will hold in Abuja on Thursday.

The letter was signed by the governor under the banner of Ayo Fayose Presidential Campaign Organisation.

It read in part, “My dear leader, it is with deep sense of responsibility that I write to inform you of my intention to seek the ticket/mandate of our party to contest the 2019 presidential election, considering your support and commitment towards our great party, the Peoples Democratic Party, it becomes imperative to keep you informed and seek your support.
“This ambition is however without prejudice to our party’s position, but in the overall interest of the party and our country.

“I urge that all hands should be on deck to ensure victory in our quest to return to the Presidential Villa, Abuja in 2019.”

Expressing surprise at the action of the governor, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, called on Fayose to respect the decisions taken by the party on zoning.

He wondered why Fayose would want to disobey the party despite his position as a leader, who he said, was also present at the national convention where the decisions were taken.

Adeyeye, who spoke exclusively to our correspondent on the issue said, “The highest organ of the party, which is the national convention, zoned the presidential ticket of the PDP to the North. That has not changed. The same national convention zoned the position of the national chairman to the South. The convention has yet to change any of these two.
“That (national convention) is the supreme organ of the party. Those decisions are binding on all members of the party. Nobody can alter these decisions.”

“The governor is a member of the party and was at the convention where these decisions were taken. As a leader of the party, one expected the governor to respect the party and its decisions. If someone in such an office is breaking the decisions of the party, what do you expect from the rank and file. “
Our correspondent gathered that Fayose had once visited the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PDP, Walid Jibrin, at his residence in Abuja, where he solicited his support for his ambition.

A source close to Jibrin, however, said the governor was reminded of the party’s zoning formula, to which Fayose was said to have responded that he was constitutionally qualified to run.

Sources at the party national headquarters told our correspondent that Fayose could be working to deny the South-West the opportunity of producing the party’s national chairman.

Man Abandons Wife After Birth Of Triplets

by
One Mr. Nwiziogo Nkwegu of Obegu Village in the Ozibo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State has allegedly abandoned his wife, Ukamaka, after the latter gave birth to a set of triplets.

It was gathered that 35-year-old Ukamaka, who was Nkwegu’s third wife, gave birth to the triplets – two boys and a girl – at a traditional maternity home in Abakaliki, the Ebonyi State capital, three weeks ago.

Southern City News gathered that the woman was forced to approach the traditional maternity home as opposed to going to the hospital as a result of her husband’s complaint that he had no money.

It was learnt that Ukamaka, who does menial jobs to cater for herself and the children, had earlier given birth to a set of twins and another single child before giving birth to the triplets.

Our correspondent gathered that the woman had resorted to using the traditional maternity home on the advice of an attendant at the traditional home, who was aware of her plight.

However, since she was delivered of the triplet three weeks ago, the mother had been begging for assistance from well-meaning Nigerians as her husband had disappeared from home and refused to pick her telephone calls.

Help, however, came the way of the woman after a former lawmaker representing Ezza North/Ishielu Federal Constituency of Ebonyi State at the House of Representatives, Chief Peter Edeh, donated an undisclosed sum of money to her.

The cash donation was made to the woman on behalf of Edet by his personal assistance, Peter Nwali.

The ex-lawmaker urged the woman to go for family planning, while appealing to the runaway husband to return home and join hands to take care of the triplets.

Roger Stone accuses House intel panel of 'cowardice' for insisting on closed-door testimony

by
WASHINGTON  In a feisty statement to be delivered to the House Intelligence Committee on Tuesday, Roger Stone, President Trump’s longtime political adviser, denies any collusion with Russia during last year’s presidential election and accuses panel members of “cowardice” for insisting that he testify behind closed doors rather than in a public session.
While acknowledging that he is “no stranger to the slash and burn aspect of American politics today” and that “some may label me a dirty trickster, … there is one ‘trick’ that is not in my bag and that is treason,” Stone says in a lengthy, 47-page statement, complete with accompanying exhibits and copies of his tweets, that he provided in advance to Yahoo News.

“Multiple members of this Committee have made false allegations against me in public session in order to ensure that these bogus charges received maximum media coverage,” Stone says about accusations that he had insider knowledge of WikiLeaks’ dumps of emails that U.S. intelligence officials say were hacked by Russian intelligence services.
“Now however, you deny me the opportunity to respond to these charges in the same open forum. This is cowardice.”

“What is it you fear? Why do you oppose transparency? What is it you don’t want the public to know?” Stone asks. “I can assure each of you, I will not let myself be a punching bag for people with ill intentions or political motives.”

Stone’s long-awaited appearance before the committee is shaping up to be a combative confrontation with Democratic committee members who have publicly accused him of being a key player in Russian efforts to meddle in last year’s presidential election.

In particular, Stone is expected to be closely questioned about multiple tweets during last year’s campaign suggesting that, at critical moments, he was tipped off to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange’s plan to release damaging emails about Hillary Clinton and her campaign chairman, John Podesta — material that U.S. intelligence officials say came from Russian state-sponsored hacks.

Among those tweets was one on Aug. 21 in which Stone wrote, “Trust me, it will soon the [sic] Podesta’s time in the barrel.”

Then, just days before the WikiLeaks release of Podesta’s emails on Oct. 7, Stone tweeted on Oct. 2: “Wednesday, @HillaryClinton is done.

#Wikileaks.” That was followed on Oct. 3 by another one: “I have total confidence that @wikileaks and my hero Julian Assange will educate the American people soon.

” Then on Oct. 5, Stone tweeted: “Libs thinking Assange will stand down are wishful thinking. Payload coming.”

Stone says in his statement he first learned that WikiLeaks had emails about Hillary Clinton last summer, from Assange’s own Twitter account. He then reached out to “a journalist who I knew had interviewed Assange to independently confirm this report” and the unnamed journalist — whom he alternatively characterizes in his statement as an “an intermediary” and “go between” — then assured him that damaging material about Clinton would be released in October.

But, despite once vowing to “answer every question” the committee asks him, Stone told Yahoo News last Friday that he will refuse to identify the intermediary to the committee — a stance that is likely to lead to charges that he is stonewalling the panel’s inquiry.

”I’m not gonna say,” Stone said of the journalist’s identity. Asked on what grounds he will refuse to answer the panel’s questions, he replied: “On the grounds that I’m not there under a subpoena. And when something is off the record with a reporter, it’s off the record. He told me this off the record. It’s a two-way street. I don’t burn reporters with whom I’ve made an agreement.”

In his statement, Stone also insists that he had no direct communications with Assange himself. “I have never said or written that I had any direct communication with Julian Assange and have always clarified in numerous interviews and speeches that my communication with WikiLeaks was through the aforementioned journalist,” he said.

Yet in his Yahoo News interview last Friday, Stone acknowledged that he had in fact communicated directly with Assange, although after the election.

“We’ve had some exchanges — via email,” Stone said during the interview. “But again, they’re innocuous. … I wrote a piece for the Daily Caller that he liked and he complimented it. That kinda thing.”

Stone’s statement takes a combative approach to the House Intelligence Committee. He disputes that the Russians were responsible for hacking emails from the Democratic National Committee and questions why the unanimous conclusions of U.S. intelligence agencies that they did should be accepted uncritically.

“The mantra-like repetition of the claim by our vaunted 17 intelligence agencies that the ‘Russians’ colluded with the Trump campaign to affect the 2016 election, does not make it so,” Stone said.

“These are, after all, the same entities who insisted the North Koreans would not be able to launch a viable rocket for 3-5 years, that insisted Saddam Hussein was in possession of WMD, that there was no torture at Abu Ghraib prison, and that the government had no bulk data collection program, until Edward Snowden revealed otherwise.”

“I did not know he was married,” model Montia Sabbag tells Daily Mail TV during the sit-down, released Monday. “I found out after we already had been together. So I did not know at first.”

Sabbag adds, “The way he was acting didn’t seem like he was married.”

Last week, Sabbag came forward at a press conference, identifying herself as the woman involved with Hart and saying, “I am not an extortionist. I had nothing to do with these recordings.” Her attorney Lisa Bloom said Sabbag was the victim of multiple felonies after being secretly taped in Hart’s Las Vegas hotel room “about a month ago.”

In the new interview with Daily Mail TV, Sabbag reveals that she first met Hart on a private jet to the Nevada city, a trip she was invited on by a friend.

“I wasn’t like starstruck or anything like that,” Sabbag insists, but notes of Hart, “He’s an attractive man.”

Sabbag reveals that after spending time at a nightclub, she and Hart ended up hanging out among a group of friends at the star’s hotel. Of things progressing, Sabbag says, “I feel when two people are attracted to each other or they have you know some kind of attraction toward someone, I feel like you don’t always really talk about what’s going to happen… It just kind of happened naturally.”

The model claims that she and Hart were “intimate” three times over three days, and insists that the tape in question was allegedly filmed during the day while Hart “was sober.”

“Kevin was very public about his affection towards me,” she alleges of the star’s behavior over the weekend in question. “We were hugging, kissing, touching and it made me believe he wasn’t married.”

Asserts Sabbag, “If I had known that Kevin was married this would never have happened.”

A source told PEOPLE last week that Hart’s wife, Parrish, is “standing by Kevin’s side,” but another insider previously said that she “is very upset.”

The second source added, “She is trying to stay healthy and enjoy her pregnancy, but the latest drama is too much.”

Hillary Clinton Calls Kushner Email Revelations 'The Height Of Hypocrisy'

by

Clinton, speaking to SiriusXM’s Zerlina Maxwell on Monday, was asked about the news a day after Politico reported that Kushner had used his private account to send messages to other senior officials, including former chief of staff Reince Priebus and former chief strategist Steve Bannon.

“The hypocrisy of this administration, who knew there was no real scandal, who knew that there was no basis for all their hyperventilating. Republican members of Congress who politicized the deaths in Benghazi,” Clinton said. “No, we’re finding with the latest revelations ― they didn’t mean any of it. It’s just the height of hypocrisy.”

“It is something that if they were sincere about I think you’d have Republican members of Congress calling for an investigation,” she continued. “I haven’t heard that yet.”

Her comments came just a few hours before The New York Times reported that at least six senior White House advisers had used private email accounts, including Bannon, Priebus, chief economic adviser Gary Cohn and senior policy adviser Stephen Miller. The Times also noted that Ivanka Trump had used her own private email during the first months of her father’s administration while she was serving as an unpaid adviser.

The president repeatedly attacked Clinton for her own use of a private email server ―which included tens of thousands of messages ― during her tenure as Secretary of State under former President Barack Obama.

A common refrain heard during the presidential campaign was the “lock her up!” chant, which is still a common occurrence during Trump’s political rallies as president, months after the election.

Speaking to Maxwell on Monday, Clinton described her use of the server as “a dumb mistake” but said the resulting political hysteria was a “dumber scandal.” Clinton noted that the latest ironies coming out of the White House made her “worry about what it means for the lives of Americans.”

“It just goes to the rank hypocrisy that this Trump campaign and now this Trump White House is engaged in,” Clinton said.
