Former Governor Of Benue State Gabriel Suswam , Set To Join APC

The former governor of Benue State, Dr Gabriel Suswam, has finally sealed a defection deal with Senator George Akume to dump his party,the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) for governor Samuel Ortom and senator Barnabas Gemade ahead of 2019 general elections.

LEADERSHIP observed that majority of Suswam’s loyalists who are vying for elective positions in 2019 under the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) have started removing the PDP’s logo on their posters, especially online, signaling their take-off from Egypt to the promise land.

Our correspondent authoritatively gathered that Makurdi,the Benue state capital was locked down on Sunday night by Akume/Suswam versus Ortom/Gemade camps to perfect final decamping arrangements.

A source who attended Suswam’s all night meeting which ended by 5am Monday explained that despite the begging from Ortom/Gemade’s camp for Suswam to remain in PDP, the duo prefer to join (APC) another available vehicle with his teeming supporters,saying those who want to join PDP have bypassed the opposition stakeholders in the state who have suffered to build the party in the last three years.

Another PDP source buttressed further why they cannot work with Ortom in the party ,adding that the non payment of salaries by the present administration will affect the party’s chances of clinching the governorship in 2019 as majority of workers and pensioners will work against them.

One of the close allies of the former governor, said Suswam had already briefed PDP state and local government executives of his pending decamping to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC),adding that they cannot work together with Governor Ortom:” We cannot work for the re-election of Governor Ortom and we have decided to leave the party as the governor is joining the party.

We don’t think Benue workers will support PDP with Ortom as a candidate. We weighed all options and decided with our leader,former Governor Gabriel Suswam to join APC and work together with Akume.Governor Ortom/Gemade camp begged Suswam not to defect to APC but he refused “.

The ongoing political realignments in Benue state has left some aspirants stranded as many are contemplating which side to go. According to sources, former governor Suswam has been given APC automatic ticket for Benue zone A senatorial seat, while Senator Gemade who is seeking for third term was given PDP automatic ticket to vie for Benue zone A senatorial seat.

Benue State governor, Ortom, may decamp from his party,the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) today with his teeming supporters.

Recall that governor Ortom had claimed that the state APC leader, Sen.George Akume, gave him red card ahead of the 2019 guber primaries. 

Although, the APC national chairman,Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, intervened but the governor had already made up his mind to dump his party for an automatic governorship ticket in PDP. PDP had in a statement issued by its National Secretary,Sen.Umaru Ibrahim Tsauri, called for an emergency meeting which it was learnt was to deliberate on defection of APC bigwigs into its fold among other issues.

BREAKING: Benue Governor, Ortom Defects From APC To PDP

Benue State Governor Samuel Ortom has announced his defection from the All Progressives Congress (APC) to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The governor made the announcement during a meeting with elected local government chairmen and councillors on Wednesday at the Government House Makurdi, hours after protesting youths barred him from traveling to Abuja to attend the APC reconciliation meeting.

The announcement brings to an end months of speculation that the governor will return to the PDP as a result of his disagreement with leaders of the APC in Benue and at the national level.

His defection follows major political decisions in the state over the last three weeks, all of which had fuelled the speculations of his exit.

The governor recently sacked over 80 percent of his cabinet members and, on Tuesday, the Benue House of Assembly impeached Mr. Terkimbi Ikyange as its Speaker.

Benue Youths Prevent Ortom From Attending APC Meeting(Video)

Benue youths in their numbers on Wednesday blocked the Government House, preventing the State Governor, Samuel Ortom, from travelling to attend the APC reconciliation meeting in Abuja.

Governor Ortom is scheduled to meet with the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Adams Oshiomhole and some other party members.

The youths are asking the governor to resign his membership from the APC.

Leader of the protesting youths, Dave Ogbole, dared the governor to crush them and embark on his trip.

Mr. Ogbole said, “If the governor insists on travelling to Abuja for the APC meeting, he will risk losing the support of the people”.

Despite the governors’ plea to allow him attend the meeting as agreed by party members in the state, the youths stood their grounds until the governor’s convoy made a U-turn.

The youths have however continued to stay guard to ensure the governor does not travel.

Demi Lovato In Stable Condition After Suspected Heroin Overdose

Singer Demi Lovato was rushed to ER a few hours ago in what appears to be an overdose of heroin.

Multiple reports confirm that a distress call from the singer’s Los Angeles apartment signaled paramedics and the LA police.

Variety reports that “law enforcement officials, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a medical emergency at the 8000 block of Laurel View Drive in the Hollywood Hills, where Lovato’s home is located”.

TMZ reported that an unconscious Lovato was given Narcan- a medication use to reverse the effect of opioid overdose.

Thankfully, new reports from TMZ confirm she has been stabilized.

Lovato’s latest health scare will most likely affect the singer’s Thursday Atlantic Beach concert as unconfirmed reports say the organizers have rescheduled the show indefinitely.

Tape Of Trump Discussing Hush Money For Alleged Affair Released

Donald Trump can be heard discussing with his personal lawyer how to buy the rights to the story of a Playboy model, who says she had an affair with the now president, on a tape released Tuesday by CNN.

The existence of the tape, secretly recorded by his former longtime attorney Michael Cohen two months before the 2016 election, was reported last week by the New York Times, which said the FBI seized it during a raid on Cohen's office this year.

Now, the recording is available for the world to listen to.

It involves Karen McDougal, a former Playboy model who says she had a months-long fling with Trump after they met in 2006, shortly after Trump's wife Melania gave birth to their son, Barron.

In the tape, Trump and Cohen talk about buying the rights to McDougal's story, which she had sold a month earlier to the National Enquirer for $150,000. The tabloid never published the story.

In the at-times muddled recording, Cohen says he wants to set up a company to acquire the rights off American Media, the company that owns the Enquirer.

During the campaign, the Trump team denied any knowledge of the deal between McDougal and American Media.

But in the tape, candidate Trump expresses no surprise when the issue comes up and Cohen talks about essentially reimbursing the company for what it paid McDougal.

"I need to open up a company for the transfer of all that info regarding our friend David," Cohen says, apparently referring to David Pecker, the head of American Media.
"When it comes time for the financing, which will be --," Cohen says, at which point Trump interrupts and says "what financing?" 

"We'll have to pay --," Cohen says, according to a CNN transcript of the conversation, which also addressed other business issues between the two men. 

"We won't pay with cash?" Trump asks, according to the CNN transcript of a segment that is particularly hard to hear.

Cohen is then heard saying "no, no" and it is not clear what is said next.

The tape, made in September 2016, two months before the election, was provided to CNN by Cohen's attorney, Lanny Davis.

Cohen, who has fallen out with Trump, is under federal investigation in New York for his business dealings and reportedly whether hush payments violated campaign finance laws.

Pakistan Votes As Suicide Blast Kills 30 (Photos)

Pakistanis voted Wednesday in elections that could propel former World Cup cricket hero Imran Khan to power, after a campaign marred by military interference and insurgent violence that culminated with an election day suicide blast killing at least 30.

The vote is a rare democratic transition in the populous and poor nuclear-armed Muslim country, which has been ruled by the powerful military for roughly half its history.

But it has also been dubbed Pakistan's "dirtiest election" due to widespread accusations of pre-poll rigging by the armed forces who are believed to favour Khan.

Polling day violence struck when dozens of people were killed in the suicide bombing, claimed by the Islamic State (IS) group, in the southwestern city of Quetta.

It was the second major attack by IS this month in Balochistan province, after an earlier blast killed 153 people in Pakistan's deadliest ever suicide attack.
Hashim Ghilza, a local administration official, said the bomber attempted to enter the polling station.

"When police tried to stop him he blew himself up," he told AFP.

The blast left a scene of chaos all too familiar to residents of Quetta. Debris, bloodstains and charred vehicles littered the road outside the polling station as blood-spattered dead and injured were rushed to hospital accompanied by distraught loved ones.

- Two-way race -

The contest has largely become a two-way race between Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), and the incumbent Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) of ousted premier Nawaz Sharif, whose brother Shahbaz is leading its campaign.

Khan, 65, cast his vote in Bani Gala, a suburb of the capital Islamabad, telling the media it was "time to defeat parties which kept this country hostage for years".
The first voter to enter a polling station in the eastern city of Lahore was a woman, business executive Maryum Arif, who told AFP she planned to vote for the PML-N as "it has served Pakistan".

She was followed shortly after by Shahbaz Sharif, who called on Pakistanis to "get out of their homes and ... change the fate of Pakistan" before casting his own vote and flashing a victory sign.

But other voters in Lahore, traditionaly a PML-N stronghold, said they were abandoning the party in favour of PTI.

"I have voted for PML-N my whole life but this time I voted for PTI because Imran Khan has promised free education and health," said 75-year-old Uzma Akram.

Up to 800,000 police and troops have been stationed at more than 85,000 polling stations across the country, with concerns for security after a string of attacks targeting political events in the final weeks of the campaign killed more than 180 people, including three candidates.

An earlier attack in Balochistan Wednesday left one policeman dead and three wounded when a hand grenade was thrown at a polling station in the village of Koshk.

In the northwestern town of Swabi one PTI worker was killed in an exchange of fire with a rival party, police said.

- 'New Pakistan' -

Analyst Rasool Bukhsh Rais said he did not think security fears would prevent Pakistanis from voting, adding that the Quetta blast "will not demoralise people".

Khan is campaigning on populist promises to build a "New Pakistan", vowing to eradicate corruption, clean up the environment and construct an "Islamic welfare" state.

But the erstwhile playboy's campaign has been dogged by widespread accusations he is benefiting from the support of the country's powerful security establishment, with the media, activists and think tanks decrying a "silent coup" by the generals.

The military has rejected the accusations and said it has no "direct role" in the electoral process.

Election authorities have granted military officers broad powers inside polling centres that have further stirred fears of manipulation.

Khan has also raised eyebrows in recent weeks by increasingly catering to hardline religious groups, particularly over the inflammatory issue of blasphemy -- sparking fears a win for PTI could embolden Islamist extremists.

The PML-N says it is the target of the alleged military machinations. Nawaz Sharif was ousted from power last year and jailed over a corruption conviction days before the vote, removing Khan's most dangerous rival.

A third party, the Pakistan Peoples Party headed by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari -- son of slain prime minister Benazir Bhutto -- could be called upon to form a coalition with any winner.

Radical groups such as the Milli Muslim League, linked to Hafiz Saeed, the man accused of masterminding the 2008 Mumbai attacks, are also contesting the polls, though many are running under the banner of smaller, lesser-known parties.

More than 19 million new voters, including millions of women and young people, may prove decisive, analysts have said.

PDP Welcomes Dino Melaye, 14 Other Senators That Defected From APC To Their Party

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has welcomed into its fold the members of the reformed All Progressives Congress (rAPC) who defected into the PDP in the National and State Houses of Assembly.

The party described their departure from APC as a right step towards rescuing our democracy from the stranglehold of autocrats who care less about the people who voted them into office.

National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, who stated this in Abuja, noted that the APC has become a sinking ship in which any Nigerian that is concerned about the future of our country must desert.

The party maintained that the political reality of the country today has clearly shown to the entire world that the government of President Muhammadu Buhari has been abandoned by Nigerians.

Nigerians now look up to the PDP to provide a leadership that would guarantee good governance in 2019.

Furthermore, the PDP congratulated President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon Yakubu Dogara, for taken bold steps on the side of the people.

The party assured all the lawmakers of cooperation within the PDP, noting that more Nigerians would still move into the PDP which has become a party of choice.

Defecting Lawmakers Have No “grievances against me or the government I lead” – Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that none of the lawmakers who defected on Tuesday has any grievance against him or his government.

Buhari said this in a statement released on his Facebook.

15 senators and 37 House of Representatives members defected from the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday.

Buhari, in his statement, said no harm or injury will be done by the defectors to APC, and urged members of the party “to not despair.”

I wish all of our party members who today defected, the very best in their future undertakings. The APC has done its best to stop the defections, and I must commend the party leadership for working tirelessly to unite the party and position it for future victory.

As the saying goes, all politics is local. We understand that some of the Distinguished and Honourable lawmakers have issues in/with their home states, especially on zoning which bars some of them from seeking another term in their constituencies. 

Let me also note that none of the defecting federal lawmakers has any specific grievances against me or the government I lead; neither do I harbour any ill-feeling towards any of them. I fully respect their freedom to choose what party to associate with.

Ozil’s Resignation Earns Applause From Turkish Minister

Mesut Ozil’s decision to quit playing for Germany unleashed a racism storm in Berlin on Monday, but earned the applause of a Turkish Minister hailing “a goal against the virus of fascism”.

After months of silence over a controversial photograph with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in May, which sparked questions about his loyalty to Germany, Ozil erupted on Sunday.

The Arsenal midfielder posted a stinging four-page statement taking aim at German Football Association (DFB) bosses, sponsors and the media.

Ozil, a key member of the squad which won the 2014 World Cup, blamed the DFB management, in particular its president Reinhard Grindel, for failing to side with him against his critics.

“In the eyes of Grindel and his supporters, I am German when we win, but I am an immigrant when we lose,” Ozil wrote.

The 29-year-old said he was true to both his Turkish and German origins and insisted he did not intend to make a political statement by appearing with Erdogan just before the World Cup finals.

“I have two hearts, one German and one Turkish,” said Ozil, who was repeatedly singled out for criticism after Germany’s woeful performance at the World Cup saw them crash out after the group stages.

Ozil’s explosive statement, in three separate postings on Twitter and Instagram, was hailed by Erdogan’s government, which has championed a campaign against what Ankara sees as growing Islamophobia in Europe.

“I congratulate Mesut Ozil who by leaving the national team has scored the most beautiful goal against the virus of fascism,” Justice Minister Abdulhamit Gul wrote on Twitter.

But it was met with a mix of dismay and outrage in Germany.

Underlining that sports brings a lot to integration in a country, Chancellor Angela Merkel said she respects Ozil’s decision.

“The chancellor values Mesut Ozil highly. He is a great footballer who has contributed a great deal to the national team,” said Merkel’s spokeswoman Ulrike Demmer, adding that he has “now made a decision that must be respected.”

Justice Minister Katarina Barley wrote on Twitter that it was an “alarm bell if a great German footballer like Mesut Ozil no longer feels wanted in his country or represented by the DFB.”

‘Whiny resignation’

Cem Ozdemir of the Greens party also voiced dismay that “young German-Turks now get the impression that they have no place in the German national team”.

At the same time, Ozdemir, who himself has Turkish roots, said Ozil “did not live up to his function of setting examples” by failing to distance himself from the hardline Turkish leader.

Germany’s best-selling newspaper Bild led the charge of criticism against Ozil, calling his statement a “whiny resignation” and said he heaped “criticism on everyone but himself”.

Bild, which has for weeks called for Ozil to be dropped from the starting team, also rejected his claims that his Turkish origin and Erdogan photo have been used by some media to pander to the far-right.

“Ozil’s world view here is dangerously close to Erdogan and his despots,” charged the tabloid-style daily.

The photo, which was published on Turkey’s presidential website and the Twitter feed of the ruling party, came just before the June 24 polls Erdogan won to claim sweeping new powers.

Ozil has insisted that “it wasn’t about politics or elections, it was about me respecting the highest office of my family’s country”.

For Foreign Minister Heiko Maas, “all parties in the affair should engage in some soul-searching. I see few here who have really behaved correctly.”
‘Watershed’

Born and raised in Gelsenkirchen, Ozil has scored 23 goals and made 40 assists in 92 appearances with Die Mannschaft. He is third-generation German-Turk and counts among more than three million people of Turkish origin in Germany.

The DFB has so far stayed mum. In a first reaction from his former teammates, defender Jerome Boateng wrote on Twitter using the Turkish word for “brother”: “It was a pleasure, Abi.”

Former DFB chief Theo Zwanziger warned that the debacle was a “serious blow to the integration efforts in our country that goes beyond football”.

For Tagesspiegel daily, the entire affair was a “watershed for sports, politics and society.”

While noting that Ozil’s thinking that the Erdogan photograph could be non-political was “naive”, it said the fiasco had far reaching consequences.

“Ultimately, Ozil did not fall because of Grindel but because of a heated, populist mood in Germany,” it said. 

“The danger exists because many who also have family roots in other countries or culture, can understand Ozil’s mood. And this needs to be countered quickly and decisively. 

“Because more is at stake than just the future of the German national football team.”

R. Kelly Reveals He Was Sexually Abused In 19-Minute Song

Singer R. Kelly, the target of a boycott campaign over his treatment of women, hit back Monday in a 19-minute song in which he reveals he was abused himself.

Entitled “I Admit,” the marathon song nonetheless is heavier on denials than acknowledgement as the “I Believe I Can Fly” star vents frustration over the stream of allegations against him. 

“I never thought it would come to this, to be the most disrespected artist,” he sings over a mid-tempo R&B beat. 

“So I had to write a song about this, ’cause they always take my words and twist it.”
Halfway through the song, Kelly says that a family member touched him sexually from a young age until he was 14. 

“So scared to say something / So I just put the blame on me / Now here I am, and I’m trying my best to be honest.”

The Time’s Up movement for gender equality has urged the music industry to part ways with Kelly in the wake of Bill Cosby’s conviction, calling for a world in which women “can pursue their dreams free from sexual assault, abuse and predatory behaviour.”

Kelly was acquitted in 2008 of charges of child pornography after a video allegedly showed him in sexual acts with an underage girl.

More recently, a woman in Dallas complained to police that Kelly knowingly gave her a sexually transmitted disease and BuzzFeed News published an expose in which it said that the singer was keeping six women in virtual slavery with control over their diets, clothing and sex lives.

Kelly, 51, in the song, suggests racial bias and draws a contrast with positive portrayals of late Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, known for his multiple relationships with younger women.

Kelly admits sex with “both older and young ladies” but adds: “Really, am I supposed to go to jail or lose my career because of your opinions?”

He also chides celebrities who have turned on him including singer John Legend as well as top streaming service Spotify, which briefly removed him from playlists as part of a crackdown.

“I’m not convicted / Not arrested / Dragged my name in the dirt,” he sings.

Donald Trump Breaks Royal Protocol During Meeting With Queen

President Trump met with the queen of England today and committed several protocol gaffes that left many feeling that his behavior was an insult to Britain and lacked the respect that should be shown the monarch — and if not a monarch, a 92-year-old woman.

President was soundly condemned on social media for walking in front of Queen Elizabeth as they inspected a guard of honor of the Coldstream Guards. The queen was forced to bob and weave as she caught up to walk alongside him, Yahoo News reports.


Trump did appear to notice, and in the video below you’ll see that as she catches up with him, she gives the tiniest gesture with her hand, signaling to him to continue walking.

Earlier, the president and first lady Melania Trump defied protocol when they greeted the queen: They did not bow or curtsy, but instead opted to simply shake hands. It is not obligatory to bow, as Americans are not her subjects, but doing so is widely considered good manners.

According to Vogue, the capsule collection will comprise of the HBCU-inspired yellow and pink sweatshirts designed for her critically acclaimed Coachella performances.

The proceeds from the sales will go to the United Negro College Fund – an American philanthropic organization that funds scholarships for black students.

Police Arrest Woman For Allegedly Stealing Baby In Osun

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a woman, Bunmi Adebayo, for allegedly stealing a month-old-baby boy in Modakeke area of Osun State.

The 26-year-old was paraded by the Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Ahmed Iliyasu, on Wednesday at the Police Headquarters in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Mr Iliyasu said the suspect is a resident of Magboro area in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of the state.

He revealed that she was arrested following information from her husband who demanded the placental and breastfeeding of the child which she could not provide a satisfactory answer to.

The police commissioner added that the suspect had pretended to be pregnant, saying the incident was an act of desperation taken too far.

He handed over the child to his biological mother and assured the public that the suspect would be arraigned in court after investigation.

“This is yet another bizarre case of child-stealing. The case is under investigation and the suspect will be prosecuted as soon as investigation is concluded,” Iliyasu vowed.

He assured the residents of Ogun to “sleep with their two eyes closed,” saying the command would not relent in its effort to rid the state of crime and criminality.

Upon interrogation, the suspect confessed that she was tempted to steal the baby as a result of her inability to give birth to a child in the last 10 years in her marriage.

Presidential Aide, Babafemi Ojudu Slams Governor Fayose For Disrespecting President Buhari

Special Adviser to President Buhari on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has slammed Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, for publicly disrespecting and humilating President Buhari.

In a post shared on Facebook, Ojudu accused Governor Fayose of paying transporters in the state to stay off work today so they would not carry APC members who are meant to receive President Buhari for the party’s mega rally slated for today July 10th.

This is crazy. Fayose has paid all transporters in Ekiti to hand over all their vehicles so that there won’t be any to bring the teeming supporters of our party from their various locations to receive Mr President.
All the vehicles as I write this are parked in the premises of the Government House and local government secretariats across the state with the gates padlocked . He has shut all markets and asked people not to come out to receive Mr President.
Alternative arrangements are being made to ensure we transport everyone of our supporters to Ado Ekiti to give Mr President a befitting welcome.
This morning I feel like cursing every single person in our party and government who collaborated to truncate all efforts made by some of us to throw this guy out of our space before becoming a monster that he is today. I and my colleagues did everything legally possible at the inception of this administration to alert on the danger constituted by this fellow to our democracy and to our country.
We moved and made arrangements to impeach him when our party had majority in the house. Our party members and a number of the leaders betrayed us. Even when he installed a new set of lawmakers ,most of whom knew not their right hand from their left , I investigated them and came up with concrete evidence to show that 14 of his 26 lawmakers forged their school certificates to secure eligibility.

I have never , ever seen a situation where a governor has done this much to disrespect the President of his country no matter their political differences.
At the heat of the disagreement between Governor TINUBU and President Obasanjo , Obasanjo paid a visit to Lagos State. Tinubu rolled out the red carpet and even sowed a uniform Aso Oke, for Obasanjo, himself and members of Obasanjo’s entourage with all the honors the President of the country deserved accorded him.
This was at a time Obasanjo refused to make Local Government allocations available to Lagos for almost two years.
From my vantage position I want to say and stand to be corrected that no single allocation meant for Ekiti has been denied Ekiti since Fayose embarked on his war against President Buhari. Every programs designed by the Federal Government to relief the people of hardship has been made available to Ekiti. In some cases it is the State Government that has been out of hostility refused to allow the citizenry to participate. A good example of this is the Home Grown Free School program that has so far benefitted majority of school pupils across the country.

Fayose has serially abused the president , publicly wished him dead, libeled his wife and children , insulted him outside the country and the President has not only refused to respond to him but has ordered all of us who work for him and could give Fayose in equal measure not to engage him.
What Fayose has done very sad and inexcusable. We hope he won’t go ahead this morning and park trucks across the roads to block The President from having access to the venue of the rally. This fellow is capable of all that is indecent.
Sadly last week a band of rogues went to my house in Ekiti under the cover of night ,the gained access to my house by removing the burglary proof , broke down all the doors and carted away all my property and that of my wife. This is the first time since I built the house in 2003 that I will experience this. The police till now have not been able to fish out those responsible.
We shall not be deterred. We shall continue to work hard even at the risk of everything to bring sanity to our land.

EXCLUSIVE: Mozzy Arrested in Vegas for Gun Possession

Mozzy broke a few rules of the road, then got busted for having a gun he's not supposed to have ... according to law enforcement.

Las Vegas PD tells TMZ ... the rapper was pulled over Thursday night in a black Maserati without license plates for failing to signal during a lane change. We're told Mozzy didn't have a driver's license and, upon inspection of his vehicle ... cops found a loaded Glock in a black book bag.

That's a problem for Mozzy, because he's an ex-felon. He went to prison after a 2014 conviction for gun possession and possession of a controlled substance.

He's now facing a charge for gun possession by a prohibited person.

Six Boys Rescued From The Cave

Six boys among the 13 trapped in a flooded Thai have been rescued, raising hopes the others will also be saved.

The first set to be rescued were six boys who navigated treacherous route for almost four kilometres to escape from the Tham Luang Cave.

The four others followed soon after, and were received by a jubilant crowd and many around the world.

The Thai government intensified rescue in anticipation of moon rain that was predicted. Foreign elite divers also joined the Thai Navy Seals to rescue the kids.


The boys became trapped deep in the cave in the mountainous area of northern Thailand near on June 23, after they went in after football practice and was caught behind rising waters.

The boys rescue has now raised hope that others will be rescued even as hope was somewhat diminished after a former Navy Seal died in the caves after running out of oxygen, and a commander said any rescue effort would take several days to finish.

The players and manager had been found dishevelled and hungry after cave diving specialists found them nine days after they went inside the cave.

According to evidence, the water in the cave was muddy and unclear, and ropes were installed to help guide the boys through the darkness.Two divers would escort each of the boys out of the cave.

Thai Navy SEALs published notes written by the trapped footballers to their families, who were waiting for them just outside the cave entrance.
The players had entered into the cave to celebrate the birthday of one of them.

Ladi Adebutu is brainless,that she is more qualified to be a Governor than her brother Ladi, that her dad is using much of his money to buy position and fame for Ladi Adebutu and Segun Adebutu, whereas she is very intelligent and a beautiful lady; that SegunAdebutu is sleeping with her father’s wife, this is what she tells everyone one behind her brother….part of the destructive and hateful bitterness in the nature of Tope and her mother.
Mother and daughter spend their lives spreading evil, deliberately speaking damaging things about those who do good to them. It is a big tragedy, a big sorrow, a lifetime lesson for us and l shouted loudenough for the whole world to hear and l warned publicly enough about this wedding.
15.ON CHIEF KESSINGTON ADEBUTU: Tope Adebutu said her Dad does not take care of her mum or spend any money on her mum that she is the one using her money to look after her mother. That her father is a bad man, only spend money on outsiders and his sources of money is evil money, she said her mother will deal with her Dad’s youngest wife and the two lovely, adorable Twin boys of her Dad, that her dad cannot make love to a woman again yet he is going about with a young wife, the age of hisdaughter and the same Tope is secretly seeing her 80+ years old father in law Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
16.ON CHIEF OLUSEGUN OBASANJO: Tope Adebutu said he is just a big man with name only, no money, that he doesn’t help his children, that she does not know what he does with all the money collected from her family, that she bought the Agbada dress Chief Obasanjo wore on her wedding for him, that her Dad is the one now sustaining Obasanjo’s family with his money, that Chief Obasanjo’s two unmarried daughter’s goes to do prostitution in the house of Segun Adebutu and bring back money for Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
That all Chief Obasanjo’s businesses are down, that Segun Adebutu sponsored Chief Olusegun Obasanjo’s birthday with N100m which he sent through his unmarried daughter who went to do prostitution there with her brother, that Chief Obasanjo collect money from Hon. Ladi Adebutu and Segun Adebutu regularly 150m, 100m, 50m, 80m, 25m, that her father donated huge money into the presidential library of Chief Obasanjo to the tune of 10 billion naira.
That with all the money collected from her family by all the Obasanjo’s family, my son cannot run away or divorce her that he must stay in the marriage and continue to fuck her. That even the wife of Chief Obasanjo living with him also collect money from her Dad regularly, that it is her Dad’s money that is sustaining the Obasanjo’s family.
17.ON CHIEF OBASANJO: He is a shameless, evil, wicked, psychopathic, sadistic man who destroy lives, cheapens his family, strip his family of dignity and self respect, has no pride, he is a materialistic andmercenary father who sleeps with wives of his sons and has no control over his penis even at over 80. 18A.ON MY SON ABRAHAM OLUJONWO OBASANJO: Tope Adebutu, Rosemary Dacosta who is Tope Adebutu’s mum and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, all three of them have all vowed to destroy my sonshould he try to get out of the marriage to Tope Adetubu or should he seek for divorce.
My son is hiding from Tope Adebutu; he received death threat every time on account of this marriage, I also receive death threat from them and they said that I am also a cocaine addict because I talk to thepress. Three months ago they called me that if I don’t stop talking to the press they will go on Socialmedia and tell the whole world the damaging lies that my son is a cocaine addict. Sometime Tope willbreak down and start crying and beg my son.
My son is not a cocaine addict neither was he ever in any rehabilitation centre.My son was working and living in his father’s palatial hilltop residence before he ran out. The king of Owu Town in Abeokuta, allthe SSS, Protocols, Steward, Cook, Security men of his dad, all family members, his driver, office workers know the character and the behaviour of my son, he was never a drug addict. A cocaine addict cannotbe hidden, everyone will know because they need money and they cannot do without cocaine.
How come all members of Obasanjo’s palatial home, office workers, drivers, SSS in the house around his dad don’t know, cooks, stewards, who clean his bedroom which he doesn’t lock, his wardrobe is leftopen, his bags are left open; my son only started locking the door of his bedroom when they move to a bigger apartment at the Hiltop residence of chief Obasanjo when his wife started giving him advance warning that she will kill him and nothing will happen. How can any sane man stay around a mentally unstable woman in a home where she kicks, slaps and order my son to come and fuck her after insulting and abusing my son, her mother also phone to abuse and threaten my son.
The truth is when my son ran away from the Hiltop residence of Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Tope Adebutu, Rosemary Dacosta and Chief Obasanjo gave my son hell, the three of them wanted to kill my son, they will phone him with death threat, my son’s businesses were cancelled, his job and salary frozen, my son’s jeep was seized by his dad. Why do these evil to your son? Why? Why? Why?, just because he is running from a wife that wants to kill him.

18B.FOUR MILLION NAIRA (4M) THEY SAID I COLLECTED FROM CHIEF KESSINGTON ADEBUTU: TopeAdebutu and Rosemary Dacosta said I collected four million (4m) naira from Chief Adebutu and ran away, he is alive, he can confirm that I never took 4m or 1m from him. On the two occasions I visitedChief Adebutu I went with my family members to seek for means of reconciling Tope and my son. On One occasion I visited Tope in her mother’s home, her mother treated me with contempt.
MY SON DIDN’T MARRY TOPE FOR HER FATHER’S MONEY AND AT NO TIME DID HE ASK CHIEF ADEBUTU FOR MONEY: On the 23rd of March 2018 when he went to see chief Adebutu it was to tell Chief Adebutu he does not want anything to do with Tope Adebutu again. Chief Obasanjo, Chief Kenny Martins, Chief Akanle and a host of others pressured my son to accept Tope and marry her……would a man who is interested in his wife’s money be running from her and wants to divorce her when he is eyeing her money.
Tope Adebutu and her mum has been telling everyone that her father has been giving Chief Obasanjo money ranging from 500m – 10 billion naira and that two unmarried daughters of Chief Obasanjo sleeps in Segun Adebutu house to do prostitution and collect money from her brother for Chief Obasanjo, that Chief Obasanjo has collected 300m naira from Hon. Ladi and Segun Adebutu and he bought a jeep for one of Obasanjo’s wife and that Obasanjo’s wife at home also collect monthly money from her father Chief Adebutu regularly and she also give them money too. That all Obasanjo’s families are hungry people, always begging for money from the Adebutus.
18D.TOPE ADEBUTU, ROSEMARY DACOSTA AND THE CALLOUS EVIL FATHER CALLED CHIEF OBASANJO:They are taking advantage of the peaceful, respectful nature of my son to hound him into submission toTope his wife which is very strange and then use him for sacrifice to advance the ambition of TopeAdebutu to quickly have her promotion accelerated to become Chief Judge of Ogun State which is asecret deal between her and Chief Obasanjo.
18E.CHIEF OLUSEGUN OBASANJO IS THE ONE PUSHING TOPE ADEBUTU; to tell the world my son is acocaine addict in order to ruin my son and tarnish his public image because for the 1st time, my sondare to disobey him, he said he will ruin my son unless my son returns to a killer wife who is threateninghis life in a marriage of terror, torment, humiliation and disrespect. 

18F. JOURNALIST COULD PLEASE CONDUCT A QUIET INVESTIGATION AND THEY WOULD KNOW MYSON IS NOT A DRUG ADDICT; and it was through Tope we got to know that Chief Olusegun Obasanjo collected billions from Chief Adebutu and finally Chief Olusegun Obasanjo secretly kept Tope Adebutu in 

his presidential library where he lives now for over 3 months seeing her late at midnight hour between 12 and 3am.The pain, humiliation and agony my son went through in the hands of Tope Adebutu and 

her mum is beyond words, it was when they saw that my son won’t submit to their threat, Tope Adebutu started begging my son and sending love massage through email, so that my son will come back and they will secretly kill him. 

19.MY SON BY NATURE IS QUIET, PEACEFUL, RESPECTFUL, KIND AND GIVES ENORMOUS RESPECT, HONOUR AND AFFECTION TO HIS DAD CHIEF OLUSEGUN OBASANJO AND IT IS HIS PEACEFUL NATURETHEY ARE EXPLOITING ON HIM . 

When I heard the enormous ill-treatment, threat, attack and battle on the life of my son from all fronts when he decided he was no more interested in his marriage to Tope, I 

cried every time with pain and was sick for a whole month and lost so much weight because I have never seen why so much deadly attack was launched on the life of my son simply because he said he wants divorce and all these battle and attack were orchestrated behind the scene by Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and carried out by Tope Adebutu. 

20. It is when my son runs away from Tope Adebutu to get away and hide from the torment, cruelty and torture he receives from her and he goes to stay quietly in the hotel all alone by himself not with a woman, not that he hates Tope or that he is an irresponsible husband. 

21.TO EXPLAIN MORE ON THE TWO VISIT TO CHIEF ADEBUTU: I still repeat Chief Adebutu is alive; there was no time I ever went to him to collect money from him and l ran away.My two visits to Chief Adebutu was to reconcile Tope and my son, where he said I offended him because I took him to court and he said the fine I will pay is to give him a cow and at my second visit, I took the cow to him. 

It was when family members of Obasanjo heard that I was trying to reconcile my son with the wife, they now told me that I should never do that, that they wonder how out of all the women in the world, it is 

an evil violent woman we choose for a good person like my son, they now told me the full horror my son was experiencing in the hands of this girl Tope, I broke down and cried,cried,cried with agony in me and 

I was very ill for over two months, crying and could not eat well, l was always saying to myself like l was in a trance… how can a human being be treated like this by two women and he has a living father that everyone fears and defer to, because of the terrible things l heard she did to my Son, I didn’t go back again to see Chief Kessington Adebutu on hearing the total truth about the serious ill treatment shegave my son 

22.CHIEF KESSINGTON ADEBUTU HIMSELF KEEP HIS DISTANCE FROM THE MOTHER OF TOPE ADEBUTU: He doesn’t allow Rosemary Dacosta to come to his house, or his office or near him at any meeting or social gathering, he doesn’t allow her to call him on phone or speak to him anywhere because he knows the wild, violent and disrespectful,destructive nature she exhibit and every member of the Adebutu’s family and the public knows that Rosemary Dacosta the mother of Tope has mental 

problem which she has passed unto her daughter and which was unknown to us and why would anyone want my son to stay married to a mentally unstable wife with an equally mentally unstable mother whoalways threaten to kill him.23.MY SON IS NOT MENTALLY SICK: They said he is a mental case that is why he runs away from a wife that wants to kill him. A perfect human being will run from a situation that wants to snuff life out of 

him. On the “12th of June 2017” my son discovered a knife under the bed which Tope his wife put there to use to kill him in the night while sleeping. 

My son is running and hiding from a woman who is always hammering on killing him, This running away habit my son inherited it from me because I also ran away many times from Chief Obasanjo’s house, 

90% of my marital life was spent running from Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, I was most time happily at my mum’s house,abroad or on the mountain praying because that was where I got my peace and joy from. 

Chief Obasanjo didn’t drive me from his house and life, I voluntarily chose to run away from him and stay all by myself like my son is now running away from Tope Adebutu on account of the horror and torment he receives from her, my son’s marital life was a life of terror, pain, regret and constant sorrow something he had not experienced or bargained for.After the death of Stella, Chief Obasanjo wanted me back again. 

And it was one day 1:00am midnight, I ran out of his Hilltop residence in Abeokuta because of the bitter quarrel we had which l will not disclose to the public, my departure that night was witnessed by everybody at the Hiltop and I ran back to Lagos and never went back again, it was after that Chief Obasanjo went to bring in his current wife. People said l was a mental woman because l left a famous,rich, influential man and am l not afraid he will cut me off from his inheritance? 

l was not afraid to depart from the horrors of his large home and famous life. So my son simply inherited this running away thing from me which is just a survival instinct of running away from grave matrimonial 

agony that is about to send you to your early grave. 23B This Tope and her mother hates me, hate my son, hates Obasanjo’s family, and she and her 

mother also hates the Adebutu’s family, because they do not speak any good about the Adebutu’s at all behind them or appreciate the enormous good they do for both mother and daughter… But I believe

We Don’t Have Land For Ranching – South East Governors Tells FG

Igbos do not have enough land for ranching as being proposed by the Federal Government, says the South-East Governors.

The Federal Government is planning to establish ranches across the country to halt the recent farmers and herdsmen clashes in the country.

However, in meeting of the governors on Sunday at the Enugu Government House, they said, “we want to dismiss rumour being peddled around over the issue of ranching.

“We want to make it clear that the South-East has no land for ranching and nobody has requested us to donate any land for ranching. 

“The Federal Government knows that the South-East doesn’t have enough land for ranching. So, we say categorically that we are not donating any land for ranching.”

In addition, the Forum reiterated that “Ndigbo stand on restructuring of Nigeria was presented to the Forum by the Ohanaeze President, based on the resolutions arising from the Awka enlarged meeting.”

BBC Wold Cup Reporter Drugged And Robbed In Russia

A British reporter for the BBC was drugged and robbed while working at the World Cup in Russia, and two men have been detained in connection with the alleged crime.

Irina Volk, a spokesperson for the Russian Interior Ministry, said: “as a result of the search operation, a suspect in the robbery of a British national has been detained. Yesterday, the British national reported to the police that he had been robbed in a taxi. As a result of the search operation, officers of the criminal police found the car which the man had taken and one of the suspects had been detained. He is now being questioned.”

The reporter drank a spiked cup of coffee while taking a taxi at 3:30 a.m. on Friday morning before losing consciousness. When he awoke at a Metro station, his bank cards and phone had been stolen.

The reporter subsequently sought medical care, and Moscow police were contacted. Miguel Delaney, chief football writer of The Independent, was also robbed while working in Russia over the weekend.

Family Cry Out After 2 Siblings Are Abducted From Their Primary School In Anambra

The kids, Franklin Ezekwere, 4, and Maryann Ezekwere, 2, were said to have been abducted at the Igwedimma Nursery and Primary School located in the same compound with St Matthew’s Catholic Church, Amawbia in Awka South Local Government of Anambra State.

School management have been unable to explain what happened to the kids. It was gathered that their school bags were seen in their classes but the teachers were unable to say where they were. Since the incident happened on July 3, 2018, their whereabouts are still unknown.

According to the father of the victims, Mr. Nonso Ezekwere, the kids were taken to the school on the morning of that fateful day and at about 2pm their mother went to the school to pick them but they were not in their respective classes, though their bags were there. Mr Ezekwere added that when the mother asked for the missing children, the teachers and headmistress were unable to offer an explanation.

It’s suspected that the kids might have been abducted and taken into captivity by suspected kidnappers. The matter has been reported to the police but efforts made so far have not yielded results as the victims were yet to be found.

The parents of the victims, from Ibughubu community, Umuchu town in Aguata Local Government area of the Anambra State, are appealing to the members of the public to report to the nearest police station if the victims were found anywhere or contact the family with the following phone numbers: O8036884905 or 08067729583.

Popular Canadian YouTubers Ryker Gamble, Alexey Lyakh and Megan Scraperdied on Tuesday in a tragic accident that occurred at Shannon Falls in British Columbia.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the Squamish RCMP wrote that,

“On July 3rd, 2018, at 11:55 am Squamish RCMP received a call from BC Ambulance regarding three people who were swimming in one of the pools at the top of Shannon Falls.”

“The individuals were with a group of friends when they slipped and fell into a pool 30 metres below,” the police continued, adding that all three bodies had since been recovered, and the case was being referred to the British Columbia Coroners Service.

Shannon Falls is the third highest waterfall in British Columbia, reaching a height of 1,009 ft.

The accident occurred after Scraper slipped and fell off the waterfall, according to the Vancouver Sun. Gamble and Lyakh reportedly then got swept away by the water while trying to save her.

According to the group’s Facebook page, High on Life was started in 2012, after Gamble, Lyakh and another friend named Parker Heuser gave up the lease on their apartment and decided to start traveling the world together. Scraper was dating Lyakh at the time of their deaths.
