Prince Andrew’s Former Wife Sarah Ferguson Is Banned From Royal Wedding Party

Prince Andrew’s former wife, Sarah Ferguson, was not invited to the exclusive after-after-party for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding.

Sarah Ferguson, popularly called Fergie, is reportedly mad as hell that she was snubbed, even though she was invited to the noon wedding ceremony in Windsor Castle, and to the afternoon reception in the Castle afterward.

Fergie, 58, is divorced from Prince Andrew but she has an exceptionally close relationship with him and they share two daughters (Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice), so she’s still very much a part of the royal family and gets invited to their events. But there are times when she gets snubbed. Like during Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding when she was not invited at all.

It is a known fact that Prince Charles (Prince Harry’s father) and Fergie do not have a good relationship. In fact, he doesn’t like her at all. And Prince Philip (Queen Elizabeth’s husband) also doesn’t like Fergie.

It will be easy for Prince Charles and his father Prince Philip to ignore Fergie during the wedding ceremony and at the afternoon reception because there will be a lot of guests. But the after-after party, which will hold at Frogmore House and is being paid for by Prince Charles, will be made up of only a select group of 200 to 250 people, and this will make it impossible for Prince Charles and Prince Philip to avoid Fergie. So, to avoid an uncomfortable situation, Fergie was not invited.

The 58-year-old duchess has reportedly not taken the news well and she “has been complaining about it to anyone who will listen.”

It was reportedly extremely difficult for Prince Harry to get Fergie invited to his wedding, and not follow in the footsteps of his brother Prince William. He faced strong opposition from his father Prince Charles and grandfather Prince Philip but he stuck to his guns and said that Fergie would come to the ball.

Prince Philip has never been able to forgive Fergie for what he sees as her shamelessly cashing in on her royal status to make money and for embarrassing the family on several occasions, most famously when she was photographed having her toes sucked by a Texan billionaire while still married to Andrew. But Harry has kept in touch with Fergie and is good friends with her daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice, so he chose to have her there, at least for half of the celebrations.
