Fulani Herdsmen Attack Benue Community, Burn Babies And Kill 7 Other Persons

Eight persons including a baby have been killed in Kwande local government of Benue state. The attack took place over the weekend. The suspected herdsmen set fire on a hut where the parents of the babies lived.

Two of the babies were seriously burnt. One of them unfortunately died in the hospital.

Confirming the attack, chairman of the local council, Terdoor Kenti, said

”I got a phone call that herdsmen have attacked a village in Kwande local government council. When I got there, I discovered they slained 7 people, houses were burnt, two small babies were burnt in a hut. Seven of them were seriously injured. 

I brought them to the hospital for medical treatment. It is unfortunate that one of the one 0year-old babiy brought here has just given up”.
