The chairman of Madagali Council, Yusuf Mohammed told Channels Television that the military responded to the attack almost immediately and has brought the situation under control.
Mr Mohammed called on the government to boost security presence in the area due to the frequent attacks by the insurgents on the residents in recent times.
The attack on Pallam village comes barely a week after the terrorists launched a similar attack on neighbouring Wanu, Kamale and Kafin communities of Michika and Madagali areas in Adamawa State.
Also, a suicide bomb attack was averted last week by troops of Operation Lafiya Dole deployed around Gamboru Ngala in Gamboru Ngala Local Government Area of Borno State.
